Responsible sourcing and compliance

Where our diamonds come from, how natural and lab-grown stock is kept apart, and how we know who we trade with.

Kimberley Process

The Kimberley Process is an international scheme, run by governments with industry and civil society, to keep conflict diamonds out of the legitimate trade. Every shipment of rough diamonds crossing a border must travel with a government-issued Kimberley Process certificate. The scheme covers rough diamonds only. Polished stones do not carry a Kimberley Process certificate.

For polished stones the trade relies on the World Diamond Council System of Warranties: a short written statement on each business invoice that the stones come from legitimate sources not funding conflict.

Country of origin

Importers into the EU of natural polished diamonds of 0.5 ct and above must file a due-diligence statement on diamond origin (from 1 January 2026). Ask us for the origin paperwork on any stone.

Natural and lab-grown, kept apart

Natural and laboratory-grown diamonds are stored, listed and invoiced separately, and every lab-grown stone is labelled as lab-grown. Read our lab-grown disclosure policy.

Knowing our customers

We trade only with verified businesses. Every trade account is checked before it's approved, and we may ask for more information at any time.

Anti-money-laundering rules apply to dealers in some markets, for example AUSTRAC in Australia and FinCEN in the United States. We follow the rules that apply to us in each market where we trade, and we may decline a transaction we can't verify.
